EVENT REPORT (links to results and photos are at the bottom of the page)
What a wonderful weekend of squash at Moorabbin! We look forward to this event every year and it was a delight to have so many junior players involved. A special thank-you to the Tasmanian Squad for travelling up once again, always a pleasure having you! The weekend unfolded somewhat like this.......
Saturday Nov 21st - i-Mask Australian Junior Graded Doubles Championships
Four kids on a squash court is always interesting and this day of doubles was certainly great to watch. From 8 year old's to 23 year old's there were some great matches. Novice players gave it their all and enjoyed being involved in the fast paced doubles games. On the other end of the scale, the A Grade teams were playing hard to win the title and the awesome perpetual trophy from i-Mask. Paul and Nathen Takacs were defending they won last year but were up against some stiff competition in Steve Robinson and Clinton Schramm. The final match came down to only a few points with the Takacs brothers victorious once again.  A very big thank-you to Max and June Moorhouse for their continued support from i-Mask and we and the players greatly appreciate that involvement you have with this event and the sport in general.
Hi-tec 3/4 Court Australian Championships
This is the World's fastest tournament - running for 65 minutes!! Every player in the singles events was entered into the 3/4 court draws to do battle for the free pair of Hi-tec 4SYS shoes worth $179. The session started with older players being nice to younger players however when it got down to the final 8 players - it was ON!! There were some terrific rallies and with the winner of each match-up progressing through to the next round after a best of 3 point game there were no second chances!! Down to the final 8 it was an exciting few minutes with the final coming down to Brad Souters and Steve Robinson. Steve was victorious and the winner of the S700:4SYS Shoes - well done Steve! Steve later donated these shoes to Jason Holmes which was a lovely thing to do, thanks Steve.
Grays Australian Junior Graded Championships
The singles day is always packed full of action and this year was no exception. With an extremely high standard Boys A Grade and Girls A Grade it gave the new players a chance to see top level squash in action. The novice and beginner players were a joy and played in fantastic spirit. We hope that you enjoyed the experience. The girls A Grade was won by Melody Francis with the Boys being won by Steve Robinson. Many matches came down to only one point which was very exciting for all concerned.

To all players, parents and coaches, thanks so much for participating in such great spirit, we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and we hope that you did too.

Look forward to seeing you next year!!!

Regards

Lisa Walton and the Inform Team
