OK!! Here we go!! Moorabbin Open 2013, here we come!! After discussions with Mike and Clara Edney at Moorabbin and the team here at Inform, it has been decided to revamp the Moorabbin Open for next year and so we have the following to announce!!
NEW DATE - This event will move away from its traditional weekend to avoid local classhes of horse racing, bike rides and World Squash Days! It`s new date is October 25-27. The only thing that we can see it clashing with at this stage (apart from horse racing) is the Queensland Open. Whilst we would rather NOT clash with this event, it seems that it is still the best choice as it will not affect local players.
NEW THEME - as the event is now close to Halloween, we will base things around this fun theme and have decorations, tricks and treats and plenty more fun.
SATURDAY NIGHT FUNCTION - it`s BACK!! We used to LOVE running a function on the Saturday night so we are bringing it back to the Moorabbin Open. We will hopefully do something on site in Halloween Theme with food, music and more fun than you can cope with.
So, here is my request - spread the word on all of the above to everyone you know who plays squash. We are on a mission to make the Moorabbin Open rev up to its former glory with huge numbers and huge fun.
Put the new date in your diary, keep the Saturday night free and we look forward to trick or treating with you next October!
